Jilly is a rescue cat at the Anne of Green Gables Museum. Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of "Anne of Green Gables" who spent much of her childhood at the Campbell Homestead that is now the Museum, once wrote about cats " I love them, they are so nice and selfish." Jilly the cat certainly seems to identify with that quote, up until she needs her friends' help to get out of a scrape. The real Jilly really does love to nap in the old cradle, and she really did get stuck in the neighbours' lobster trap.
